Nomination of the Member of the Year - Announcement
|
Dear Members,
AzETA constantly seeks ways for serving you better and for acknowledging your volunteer work. In 2007 Executive Board members launched a new initiative on a nomination of Member of the Year. It was very successful and 3 AzETA members were awarded with the title of Member of the Year. It was announced at the opening ceremony of the 4th AzETA International ELT Conference held on 10-11 November 2007.
2 members were awarded with the title of the Member of the Year at the AzETA 5th International ELT Conference held on 8-9 November 2008.
AzETA remains loyal to its traditions to encourage its members through acknowledging them in different ways. So, AzETA gives a start to the next round of nomination which will be announced at the opening ceremony of the 6th AzETA International Conference to be held on 14-15 November 2009 at Baku Slavic University.
Below are the selection criteria and benefits.
Selection Criteria:
At least, 2 years of membership with AzETA
Creativity, i.e. giving ideas to AzETA for improving customer service
Promoting AzETA among English teachers and helping in membership rise
Promoting AzETA among other local and international NGOs
Promoting AzETA internationally and among TAs of other countries
Supporting AzETA management team(s)
Active involvement in AzETA events/projects
Dedication to AzETA
Exemplary interpersonal skills
Regularly visiting nearest AzETA Branch
Following all AzETA rules (rules are the ones when a member signs together with the membership application form while joining AzETA)
Benefits:
1 year complimentary AzETA membership and membership for all SIGs
Complimentary registration for AzETA 5th ELT Conference
Participation in an international event offered to AzETA within one year after being awarded with the name of The Member of the Year
The nomination starts from 1 December 2008 and will close on 31 October 2009. A member can nominate himself/herself or a fellow-member. The Executive Board will decide the winner through secret voting among the Executive Board members on its last meeting before the AzETA 5th Annual Conference if there are more than one nominees.
Note: The competition is open to all AzETA members throughout the country except AzETA Executive Board members who can neither nominate or be nominated.
