Teacher Training

So far, 1 session has successfully been organised. It was organised on 3 November 2007. The other sessions will be held on: 15 March, 26 April, 24 May and 22 June. Teacher trainers from AzETA Head Office responsible for the training sessions in Khachmaz Branch are: Elnara Mammadova and Vafa Abdullayeva

Working with Young Learners

The Branch has been included in AzETA English Access Microscholarship Programme from December 2007. There are 18 students in Khachmaz EAMP Group. The classes are organised in AzETA Khachmaz Branch Office. The classes are taught by AzETA Khachmaz Branch members. For more on the Project, please, visit the below site: http://www.az-eta.org/eamp.php

Khachmaz Branch has also joined another project of AzETA. With the financial support of the US Embassy, AzETA has launched branches of Enjoy English Club in all its branches, including Khachmaz Branch. There are 20 students in each branch. The classes are taught by the teachers of the respective AzETA Branch. The Project is supported by the Ministry of Education, where the Education Departments of the respective regions have been instructed to provide support to the implementation of the Project. Study Tour

Like other branches, AzETA Khachmaz Branch members also actively join AzETA study tours and share their knowledge and experience with others. Khachmaz Branch was the last to host the study tour of AzETA branches in 2006. It was organised on 26 May 2006. As this was the last study tour scheduled for the school year 2005-2006, AzETA made this an event more than a study tour. Andy Keedwell, English Programmes Manager of the British Council in Yerevan (2004-2007) joined the study tour and had a plenary talk titled: Learn, Teach and Associate which made the study tour a memorable event. The study tour was joined by the representatives of Khachmaz Education Department who welcomed AzETA's initiative to support regional teachers through different events.

Peace Corps Volunteers from Sheki, Zaqatala, Ganja and Mingechevir were also actively involved in the study tour and contributed to the discussions of the action plans of the branches.
